Hello!
I know many of us are feeling a lot of angst as we barrel towards the June 1st, 2023 administration of the US History Regents!
If you are in search of a pacing guide and/or resources, I have linked mine here.
I will only have about 2.5 weeks for review, so I am trying to cram as many things in here as I can.
If you find this helpful and feel so inclined, my Venmo for coffee is @Rachel-Murat
A couple notes:
1. This is public on the web, so if you can't access it, it is most likely your domain settings.
2. You will have to make a copy of anything you want to edit.
3. The Google Forms I have linked are just for you to see how I do that part of review. (I have the kids enter in their answers to the HW as their bell ringer so I have the data on which questions we need to go over). You will NOT be able to see any of the data, so you will NEED TO MAKE YOUR OWN GOOGLE FORMS.
4. Teacher hack! I made one Google Form, set it up the way I wanted to (made it a quiz, answers released automatically, 10 questions, name question, 4 choices for each question) and then just simply made a copy of it for the subsequent 9 assignments. All you have to do is change the name of it and input the correct answers for each assignment. The entire process took me less than 20 minutes.
5. All of the Quizlet and Blooket games linked are able to be accessed by your students, unless your domain prohibits it. The Blooket games are set to expire 14 days after I created them, so I will do my best to make sure I reauthorize them before they run out.
6. The Review Session Google Doc is also not going to allow you to see your student's answers, so you will need to create your own.
7. Teacher Hack! I set up the Google Sheets that is populated from the Google Form to send me a notification when someone signs up for a review session. This means I don't have to keep checking it.
8. I am sending this home to each of the parents/guardians of my 55 US History students so they are aware of what is out there for review, the expectations and what review sessions are available.
9. The drag and drop on the bottom of the calendar will only work if the students make a copy of it. Once they do that, they can drag and drop on each of the slides. If this doesn't work for them, it is most likely that they didn't make a copy of it or your domain restricts it.
10. If you have any questions, my email is rmurat@me.stier.org
Happy Reviewing!
